About the coach

Jeananne Ruck



Jeananne was hired as Cuesta Softball's Head Coach prior to the 2017 campaign.  Ruck is the program's seventh head coach and sixth over the past nine seasons.  

In her own playing career, Jeananne was a high school superstar at Buchanan High School in Fresno and was named the Fresno Bee Player of the Year as a senior.  Ruck began her collegiate career at Oklahome City University and earned All American honors, while leading the Stars to a NAIA National title as a freshman.  She also capped her collegiate career with a second NAIA title as a senior.   Inbetween her title years at OCU, Ruck spent one season at Cuesta and earned All Western State Conference honors, while leading the Cougars to the playoffs.  

Off the field, she earned scholar-athlete honors at both Oklahoma City and Cuesta. Jeananne had previously coached at the club level before joining the Cuesta staff.  She worked with two of the best clubs in SLO County- Inferno and Nitro.   In 2016, Jeananne received her undergraduate degree in Behavioral Science from Oklahoma City and is pursuing her Master’s Degree in Clinical Counseling at Capella University.   

Jeananne lives in San Luis Obispo.
