Comic Book Making, Printing & Publishing
Create a comic book that family and friends can read! Students will learn and discuss ideas on creating, printing, copyrighting, and promoting their comics. After looking at example comic books of varied styles and genres, they will plan out their stories and characters through warm-up and imagination exercises. Then they will design their own comic with their own characters, going through the whole process of drawing, lettering, and inking on paper. The final part of coloring and editing their work would be done on the computer. After the students are finished, the comics will be put together into a print book and an eBook (on a flash drive) to bring home. Students will also have the option to put their comics online for other kids to read. (The permission forms for parents to sign, can be found here: https://goo.gl/ywIlxV). See student examples under the "Raytoons Kids" section at www.raytoons.net. Questions? Email Raymond, firstname.lastname@example.org.
