CA Writers ClubCalifornia Writers Club

The California Writers Club was founded in 1909, and is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with 21 statewide branches and over 1900 members. CWC is dedicated to educating writers of all levels of expertise in the craft of writing, pursuing publication, and marketing their work. The Coastal Dunes Branch holds monthly meetings with speakers at the Nipomo library. The Branch website is:



Chevron has generously provided ten full scholarships to local writing teachers so they can attend the Annual Central Coast Writers Conference at Cuesta College and teach the skill of writing to their students.

KSBY-TV is the NBC affiliate in San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara counties and made its on-air debut in May of 1953.It went on the air, however, as KVEC-TV. The VEC call letters stood for Valley Electric Company.
